MoneyWiz 2 - Personal Finance App Reviews

Ive been using Money Wiz for a couple years now and mostly like it. The syncing works well and data entry is plodding but ok. I have two major complaints. There is simply NO logical or easy way to edit the categories or even to see them as a whole list with the subcategories. This has been a major frustration since the beginning. The other is that it cannot link with my bank. Ive tried this for two years and failure is the result each time. Yet they keep asking for the subscription fees. If these were fixed I would give it 5 stars.

Aptly named, MoneyWiz 2 slickly does exactly what makes it a wizard at making money management clear and easy. Its a handsome-looking app and intuitive to use. As good as it is, perhaps its best feature is the fast and friendly way its staff responds to any problem created by the user. While theres no users manual, MoneyWiz 2 has a wealth of online how-to documents that take a user step-by-step through solutions to any problem he/she might be having, backed by swift email response if the user wants additional help. The online banking feature (for a small subscription fee) makes real-time up dating and reconciliation a snap.

I really liked this app while it worked, then one day it locked me out of my account as it was trying to sync with its proprietary syncbits cloud solution. I clicked the reset password option and I was sent an email to my iPhone. The email said "this email has no content." So I logged into iCloud to see if I could get the message and it said, "Sorry, your email client doesnt support HTML email." REALLY? iPhones and iCloud both support HTML emails. After trying to unlock the account for a few days now, Im ready to move on to a solution that uses iCloud.

This app has great features and functionality...but the icons need work. I would prefer seeing bank or debit card logos instead of generic images. Other than that I love it!

This really is a great app downloaded it I never forget to pay my bills on time and I still have yet to discover some of the other features.

Excellent Personal Finance to control all our incomes and expenses. I use this app with my Wife, sharing and syncing Data among 5 Devices: Macbook, (2) iPads and (2) iPhones.

Thank you for such a user friendly app. I am retired and track every penny I spend, as well as every penny I take in. The scheduled transactions make this so easy to do, as I can set them up ahead of time for each and every month. And the couple of times Ive needed help, the support people were responsive, friendly, and most important of all, understood and solved my problem. So glad to have this app!

Great way to track finances. Easy to use and helpful to plan week to week, month to month & yearly forecasts.

I rely on this app as my checkbook and it has never let me down. The developers are also very responsive and helpful. Sync is dependable. Highly recommended.

This is the best finance app I have ever used. Syncing works perfectly. It has got everything I need. However, improvement is required on the stability and the responsive of the app.

MoneyWiz seems to be stuck on using ICONs, Why? Why are other reviewers not complaining about this? I guess I might be the only one who likes to review my finances with detail, not trying to figure out what that icon is suppose to represent.... Ex. For my daughters education, how do I choose an icon for drama or girls scout or other after school activities that cost money. What about insurances, how is that supposed to be itemized using icons. Or even Utilities Anyone, anyone that knows how to track and review spending dont want ICONs. They look cool but thats it! And, Comon users, get on board n let them know that icons dont tell us anything! So close to PocketMoney I thought I was happy! This can & should be an easy 5 stars but they insist on using icons that should be eliminated from all banking apps (they look cool but useless when you need detail records). A lot of tapping, what I mean is even when you do a search (which does works well) ex. education ...... Well because they use icons you now have to open each transaction to located the detail your looking for. WHY? I given them side by side comparison photos of PocketMoney n MoneyWiz n u can clearly see whats holding them back from International Success, Why?

Just needed an easy checkbook register and this fits the bill perfectly!

I have been using this app for more than 3 years now. I have seen improvements over the years. I love the forecast feature. I know exactly how much money I will have in 1, 2 weeks according to my budget and bills. Totally recommend it. Reporting is also great.

I have been using MoneyWiz for the last four year to monitor and track my finances, every year the app become better and better, with the launch of MW2 things are getting amazing with the addition of the new features (bank sync, loan, reminders, new GUI, SyncBit, etc), this app is amazing. In general there is nothing out there better that MW2. I extremely recommend it to everybody.

I rarely write reviews but I absolutely love this app. I love that it is optional to connect your accounts keeping my data safe but still able to track my spending. The reports are helpful in getting big pictures of my household finances. I tried most of the other money apps available for iPhone and this is the easiest and most powerful personal finance option. Highly recommend to everyone I know looking for budgeting and financing apps.

I know you would rather forget about bugs you squashed, but I would like to know which bugs got fixed in each update so I can see for myself if it all works as promised. A little more transparency would make your users feel that we are all on the same team! Start providing more details about updates, and Ill probably rate you 5 stars.

Ive used a few budgeting apps and none have stood up compared to MoneyWiz. I have been using for over a year now, and love the tools and customization that helps me and my wife budget my finances. Cloud sync works seem less across devices.
